Winona Ryder has spoken with the Canadian Press and talked about aging, career and her latest movie, as per CTV NEWS.
Winona Ryder still look stunning at her age, in fact after attending Marc Jacobs's show back in September, headlines read that the '90s icon "doesn't age." As she now approaches her 44th birthday she became one of the veteran actresses that many women idolize when it comes to young looking skin. But apparently she has some tricks, which she masters in maintaining her beautiful appearance in front of the camera.
"It's like I'm not allowed to get (old), she revealed. "When you're getting your picture taken, a trick that I've learned is relax your forehead and then you won't have all these lines -- but if you don't then they're going to criticize you for looking (old). You don't know how to win in this way."
Ryder, who became part of many successful movie projects, including 'The Iceman' admitted she has some standard when it comes to accepting movie roles and said in her late 30s the 'Black Swan' movie, where she played as an aging ballerina was the most memorable she ever did because it "sort of liberated" her in a way "where I was finally able to play my age," she said.
In her latest movie, "Experimenter," she plays Sasha Menkin, wife to famed psychologist Stanley Milgram played by Peter Sarsgaard and directed by Michael Almereyda. Talking about the film and the structure of it, she said that it's not a standard biopic and "It turns the biopic on its head in a way. In the way that it is such an imaginative, creative, thoughtful, interesting way to tell this story that is so fascinating to begin with," Ryder said.
'Experimenter' will hit theaters in Toronto and Vancouver on November 1, Friday and on Nov. 20, in Saskatoon.
