Chipotle is embracing the Halloween season!
In fact, the fast food chain is giving away $3 burritos to anyone over the age of 12 and dressed in costume from 5PM to closing time.
But of course, there's a catch! There has to be an "unnecessary additive" to your costume outfit. What does this mean? Well, so long as you got something else with your costume that doesn't fit into the theme, you can get your hands on that $3 boo-rito! Here are a couple ideas from First We Feast: "This could range from dressing up as a ghost in a sombrero to a vampire wearing a tutu."
This promotion has actually been a Halloween tradition for Chipotle, except that for 2015, there's just a little spin to it.
Chipotle even plans to set aside $1 million from the Halloween profits to give to the restaurant's foundation, The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, to promote sustainable farm practices and food literacy.
The burrito chain has also released a few a commercial entitled "Unneces-scary" where customers are up against fast food comprising of unsustainable additives.
According to Time:
"The promotion symbolizes the company's stand against unnecessary additives and preservatives in foods, nearly six months after it became the first major restaurant chain to announce it had removed genetically modified ingredients from its entire menu."
