Kim Jong Un Impersonator Big Hit in University of Illinois

Aside from running a country and being a supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un likes to take selfies on the street, play basketball and barhop on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. Surprised? He isn't the real Kim Jong Un. According to an article published on USA Today, he is Minyong Kim, also known to many as "Dragon". He is a foreign student studying international business at the University of Illinois. During his past time, he likes to impersonate the supreme leader of North Korea and is gaining a lot of attention from people in the said University.

To complete the look, he needed to make some adjustments to his physical appearance. Like getting a trapezoid haircut, gaining weight and of course buying the signature black Mao suit.

The 25-year-old student was born in a working-class family in Seoul, South Korea, and enrolled into the U. of Illinois in 2009. "He's very outgoing and very different,"says Nick Pugesek, Kim's floormate. "I mean, for someone to go through with being Kim Jong Un and having to deal with the day-to-day things that go along with." He went back to South Korea to fulfill his Military service and after that he decided to be an SAT teacher to help his family.

He first became popular when the school he was working for in South Korea had a Halloween costume party and he decided to dress up like Kim Jong Un. The costume became a big hit and he decided to bring it out on the streets. Many people found it interesting and he was then casted in commercials, movies and dramas in South Korea. Kim's first commercial aired in April 2015.

Kim says he does not support Kim Jong Un's politics, He said the only reason he is doing this is because it makes people happy. However, he finds common ground with the supreme leader of North Korea through basketball and his love for the Chicago Bulls. As soon as he graduates this semester, he will go back to Seoul and pursue his dream to put up a school which will focus on a college-based curriculum to prepare students for school in the United States.
