After spending a few years focused on her family and fashion business (as she's turned into one of the most iconic shoe designers in the industry), Jessica Simpson's making a comeback in her first love, music, and she's seemingly everywhere these days - and there have even been rumors of Jessica Simpson's drunk status on television!

The Jessica Simpson drunk rumors began a few days back, when the singer and actress was on a two-hour special on the Home Shopping Network and she was overtly giggly and slurring her words on occasion, prompting outrage over possibly being intoxicated in the scene.

According to Entertainment Tonight, though, the supposed Jessica Simpson drunk status was just a case of the "Newlyweds" star being who she is, as HSN president Bill Brand told the news outlet.

"Of course she wasn't drunk," said Brand, putting those Jessica Simpson drunk rumors to rest once and for all. "She was here. She was thrilled to be here. I can tell you our team loved working with her."

TMZ also reports that the so-called Jessica Simpson drunk incident wasn't one at all, as sources close to the shoe designer say that this attitude is just part of the blonde's personality, and as the broadcast as a two-hour one without any scripts whatsoever, it was hardly a surprise that she would slip up more than a few times.

According to Hollywood Life, though, there's one person out there who isn't buying the different denials that Simpson wasn't intoxicated at the time of her HSN appearance: her former husband Nick Lachey, now that they've reportedly feuding again after Simpson called their marriage her biggest financial mistake.

Supposedly, Lachey feels "embarrassed" for Ashlee Simpson's sister, but he's also glad he's not in that "chaotic relationship" anymore.

In any case, there are plenty of people who say that Jessica Simpson's drunk status was no such thing!
