Fans simply could not get enough of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher in the upcoming second season of 'Daredevil.' The internet is littered with pictures of the former 'Walking Dead' star as Frank Castle, punishing a thug and at the same time getting some punishment on his own face.
Although it seems unlikely that Jon Bernthal will be wearing The Punisher's trademark skull T-shirt anytime soon, the actor was more than happy to share a picture from the set of 'Daredevil' showing Frank Castle's wall of pain.
Jon Berthal tweeted the photo of The Punisher's weaponry with the simple caption, "PUNISH."
The picture immediately confirms everyone's expectations that Frank Castle will be dishing out his brand of punishment all over Hell's Kitchen. But will The Punisher be on Matt Murdock's side, or against him?
Although it is unclear whether Daredevil and The Punisher will be working together, Matt Murdock has just gained another ally.
Deadline reports that Stephen Rider has just been added to the cast of 'Daredevil' Season Two as a series regular. There are speculations that the star of 'Lee Daniel's The Butler' has been cast as Blake Tower, a New York City district attorney who helps Matt Murdock gather information in tracking down criminals.
Stephen Rider has previously appeared in two Denzel Washington films, 'The Great Debaters' and 'Safe House.' He played Seeker Reed in the film adaptation of the Stephenie Meyer book 'The Host' and will have a minor role in the upcoming drama 'The Wrong Side of Right.' Rider is also a familiar face in TV shows like 'NCIS: Los Angeles,' 'Lucky 7' and 'Shameless.'
'Daredevil' stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin "Foggy" Nelson and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple. The second season will air on Netflix next year.
