Following the announcement of Candice Accola's pregnancy earlier this week, fans of the popular television series The Vampire Diaries were all left with a question, "Is there a vampire baby on board?"
The 28-year old TVD actress and singer-songwriter has just recently announced that she's expecting her first baby with the musician Joe King, whom she just married last year.
Accola plays the character of Caroline Forbers in the series, who happens to be Elena's best friend and Stefan's possible new love interest in the upcoming season.
While her pregnancy announcement was not actually that surprising, her fans seemingly couldn't stop linking her personal life to her Vampire character 'Caroline' and thinking if it's really possible for a vampire baby to come in the next chapter.
If it is, then that goes with the Stefan and Caroline tandem, who everyone thinks would be indeed the best parents a 'vampire' baby could ever hope for.
"They'd be very quick parents," Candice said while pulling some humor during one of her interviews. "I think with vamp speed, that would definitely help with diaper changed. I don't know if they'd compel a baby not to cry? I don't know if that's cool for vampire parents to do."
Paul Wesley, who plays the character of Stefan Salvatore and happens to be Caroline's possible new love interest in the upcoming season, also has own take on child-rearing.
"They'd send him to private boarding school way far away so they never had to deal with him," Paul said in reference to their imaginary baby.
Ian Somerhalder's Damon Salvatore on the other hand, who apparently got himself distracted over the news about Caroline and Stefan's hypothetical baby, said that he's "assuming" that Accola's pregnancy will be added in the scripts.
"I'm assuming so. One would also hope so, because I think that might be hard to explain." He said.
He went on saying, "Stefan would be a good dad, focusing all his energy on that kid. He'd grow up to be a sensitive, smart ripper."
Going back to Candice, who was very excited sharing the good news to her fans, she has received a lot of congratulations from the TVD cast members, who couldn't be happier for the soon-to-be mother.
