Misha Collins was reportedly the victim of a mugging. According to published reports, the 41-year-old actor was allegedly beaten and robbed on Friday in Minneapolis, where he was scheduled to attend a fan convention over the weekend.
His co-star Jim Beaver said the actor had been attacked outside a restaurant by three men in Minneapolis on Friday.
According to Beaver, who plays Bobby Singer on the show, his friend was left with 'some stitches and a fat lip' after the incident.
“My buddy and Supernatural colleague Misha Collins was followed out of a restaurant in Minneapolis by three men last night and beaten and robbed,” Jim wrote in a Facebook post that has since been deleted, according to E! News. “He’s all right, more or less, with some stitches and a fat lip.”
On Saturday afternoon, Collins, who reportedly missed his panel that day – reassured his more than 2.1 million Twitter followers that he only suffered “minor scrapes.”
“Hey guys! Thanks for all the well-wishes! Just want u to know I've just got some minor scrapes. I'm totally fine! Love u guys,” he tweeted.
Misha has not confirmed or denied the alleged mugging, and he has not elaborated more on what happened. Fans began tweeting about Misha using the “#WeLoveYouMisha” hashtag.
Despite the frightening incident, the actor best known for playing Castiel on Supernatural, put on a brave face and attended a Supernatural fan convention the next day.
Supernatural is a science fiction drama about two brothers who seek out paranormal phenomena, and has ran since 2005 on The WB and then its successor The CW.
Collins was initially a recurring character on the fourth season of the show, and became a main cast member on series five.
