Microsoft Released Halo Channel App For iOS and Android Devices

Microsoft, the publisher of the Halo franchise, has released the iOS and Android versions of the 'Halo Channel', a portal where gamers can gain access to news and community events about the shooter video game.

The Halo portal was first launched in the 2014 but was only available on Windows PC, Windows tablets and the Xbox One. The tech company has now decided to reach out to gamers by allowing them to connect using their mobile devices.

The app which functions like The Bulletin and The Sprint will keep fans updated of the recent events about the Halo game. A Windows Phone version of the app was also released alongside the Windows 10 yesterday.

The app for iOS and Android devices can now be downloaded online. Halo makers even prepared some exciting rewards for those who download the program. 

Gaming fans who will install the 'Halo Chanel' and watch any video from the platform will gain an exclusive Promotional REQ pack. The reward contains a distinctive emblem in the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians." Those who already follow the game on the app will receive the same freebie as well. 

However, gamers will have to wait until the video game is released to the market on October 27 to receive the promised prize.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is one of the most highly-anticipated titles that will be released before the year ends. While excited many fans are waiting, 343 Industries, the game's developer is busy on improving it to give gaming enthusiasts an advanced gaming experience.

Lead producer Chris Lee confirmed that campaign and multiplayer modes will run at 60 FPS. The team is also working on optimizing the resolution of the game.

"So, we're still optimizing the game as we haven't launched so we haven't locked in our final resolution yet. But we will talk more about that in the future," Lee stated.
