It is that time of the year again where Minions are everywhere, from bag packs to kids' cereal. There is currently this newly released cereals that featured the Minions and it is from the food company General Mills. The company is hoping releasing this product would improve their declining sales in cereals according to Fox News. But the question is, will kids really love it?
This limited edition Minion cereal is flavored with banana and berry that also resembles Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Minions are nuts about bananas and that's the major reason the company decided to flavor it that way. The cereal developer for the food giant, Kate Gallager said that they did their best to come up with that idea because they know that kids are very familiar of what the Minions like.
Gallager said that they needed to test first if the kids would actually love it and what they did is conduct a taste test to one of the son of a food writer for KidEatsWorld.com. Lauren Bloomberg has a son who is a huge Minion fan, who is also 2 years old, tried and ate this Minion cereal from General Mills. As for him, it tasted like chicken.
Newsday reported that it was a huge hit for kids and an enough of that is the fact that supermarkets are filled with these boxes. According to the publication, the product was definitely eye catching for kids since all their favorite Minions are on the box. As for the taste of the cereal, it is just weird to read that they say it is banana flavored, yet you would still feel the need of adding more bananas and even sugar. This just means it's not that sweet, especially when Teddy, the two-year-old son of Bloomberg said it tasted like chicken.
