The hit Fox TV series "Empire" is having Kelly Rowland on board as part of their new cast. Entertainment Weekly has gathered some information about one of Destiny's Child's participation on the said TV series.
The role of Rowland on the show would be the mother of Lucious Lyon (played by Terrence Howard). For anyone wondering how that could happen, the writers decided to show some flashback on season 2. The independent woman would also be with other newly cast actors Chris Rock and Marisa Tomei.
The show is becoming known now for casting more and more famous actors and musicians in Hollywood . E! Online first came out with the story of Rowland now being part of it. There were already rumors since last month of her being a cast, but it wasn't confirmed until today. Last month, she was reported to have sat down with the show's writers and meeting about her participation on the show. The show is about a former couple Lucious Lyon and Cookie Lyon (played by Taraji P. Henson) who were once struggling financially and trying to make it in the music industry. It is a drama series that depicts a family who has an empire, yet still struggles to be a functioning one.
