For its upcoming new season, fans could expect to see if Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (played by Johnny Galecki) are really going to get hitch in Vegas and if Sheldon (played by Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayin Bialik) are going to get married as well. Now if you didn't see season 8th's finale, Sheldon was holding a ring and was thinking of giving it to Amy, but Amy has sort of broken up with him. There were lots of relationship related issues on the finale of season 8 like Raj (played by Kunal Nayyyar) was thinking of breaking up with Emily (played by Laura Spencer) because she's too dark and morbid in thinking for him. In the end, when they were having a date night at a cemetery, he decided not to break up with her. But eventually, it's looking like he will.
According to THR, the show's writers and producers didn't give much information about season 9, however, it's looking like viewers are about to see a new development regarding Amy and Sheldon's relationship. Steve Molaro, one of the shows producers said that the whole situation with the duo's romance would be interesting and messy because they are shaking things up. Molaro also said that something is about to happen between the two and he's pretty sure about it.
