Fast and Furious 8: Jason Statham Will Definitely Return

Jason Statham revealed he will be returning in the next Fast and Furious insatallment. The Hollywood hard man, Statham seemed particularly enthusiastic in an interview with Access Hollywood about his character Deckard Shaw.

Jason Statham said, "We're already talking about doing another one. Part eight. I'm a newcomer. I just got invited to the party in this last one, so it's nice to know I'm going to be doing another."

Statham's character is back for more, it'll be interesting to see just how Deckard Shaw manages to escape the watchful eye of Hobbs played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. In the smash hit Furious 7, Shaw was crushed under the weight of a multistory parking structure. Ends up being captured and locked up in a maximum security cell that's under constant surveillance by Hobbs.

Statham appreciates the writing partnership of Chris Morgan and Gary Scott Thompson - "They've always got something good up their sleeves, and I don't want to be the one who spoils everything," Statham added: "I could tell you what I'd like to see happen!"

The biggest tease of the interview with Access Hollywood, is when Statham said that there are great stuff he already knows about the franchise.

In the end of 2013's Fast & Furious 6, viewers got a glimpse of Jason Statham's character, setting the actor up to be the main villain in Furious 7. It was revealed that he killed Sung Kang's character Han.

Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson , Jason Statham,  and Kurt Russell's as Mr. Nobody will also be back for the Fast and Furious 8. The original ending of Furious 7 was intended to set up Mr. Nobody for the sequel but it was changed to honor their late co-star Paul Walker.

Statham said of the box office performance of Furious 7,"Yeah, it just shows the fanbase is very unique. They really do relate to the characters. They love these characters. They've followed them for years and years."

Fast & Furious 8 will hit theaters April 14th, 2017.
