The 14-year-old fashion brand Marc by Marc Jacobs will soon be absorbed into the Marc Jacobs primary line just in time for spring.
But before it does, Marc by Marc Jacobs intends to release its final collection with a bang by teaming up with Walt Disney Co. The new line actually opened just last week and was "aesthetically directed by Jacobs himself," said Women's Wear Daily.
The final collection - which is the 2016 resort line - is a collaboration with Disney for accessories, which took inspiration from "Alice in Wonderland."
In fact, the new line will be simultaneous with the film release of "Alice Through the Looking Glass" in May 2016.
The new film enlisted the same stars from its predecessor, such as Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and to no one's surprise, Helena Bonham Carter.
The 2016 resort line called "I Am Not Like Other Girls" boasts of various accessories like backpacks, watches, sunglasses, totes, jewelry, and even phone cases.
The line will also carry some sweatshirts with classic statements taken from "Alice in Wonderland." Fans can expect "cartoonish bow-shapes, snickering pansy flowers and heart-shaped keys" to be "superimposed" on several of the items.
Sebastian Suhl, the chief executive officer of Marc Jacobs International, revealed to WWD that "the design team structure and aesthetics" of the final collection highlights what everyone can soon expect from the brand.
Suhl cited, "There has been a shift already in the design. You can see how it definitely fits in with the general Marc Jacobs [Collection] product more so than it had been in past seasons."
"There is more of the original spirit of Marc by Marc Jacobs. The design is shifting so that it has one hand, aesthetically speaking," Sebastian added.
The line has a price range of $60 to $400. Fashionistas can cop the products starting November 1st in selected stores.
