Florida Girl Thrown From Bridge: Father Accused Of Killing 5-Year-Old Daughter

In some of the first and most shocking news of 2015, the report has come out of a Florida girl thrown from bridge in the first days of the year, after her dad apparently pushed the 5 year-old child over the past Thursday, January 8.

The horrific news of the Florida girl thrown from bridge has taken the country by storm, though it is still unclear what exactly happened; however, the father of the little girl will be the one facing charges over the death of his young daughter.

According to local news outlet Florida Today, the St. Petersburg Police Chief, Anthony Holloway, first reported the news about the Florida girl thrown from bridge in a news conference in the early hours of Friday morning.

Apparently, there was a police officer that was getting home from work a little past midnight, driving south towards the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in the city, and he saw a man passing him in more than 100 miles per hour; not long after, he saw the man stopping at the bridge in a frenzy ... and that's when he saw the Florida girl thrown from bridge, by her own father.

Reuters states that the man has been identified as being John Jonchuck, 25, the father of the child called Phoebe Jonchuck, who was 5 years old at the time of her death.

AJC reports that Jonchuck had full custody of little Phoebe, and they both lived in Tampa with his parents. He had been with Phoebe's mother, Michelle Kerr, for six years, in which there were numerous calls to the police in regards of domestic battery, though the charges were always dropped or were not pursued.

Kerr, on the other hand, had been arrested for child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and petty theft, among other things.

Police have still not found any motives for the murder of the Florida girl thrown from bridge.
