Taylor Swift Basher: Joni Mitchell Disses T. Swift, Says She Has Nothing Much To Offer

Haters are definitely gonna hate as the lyrics go in Taylor Swift's hit single "Shake It Off". Reports have surfaced that Joni Mitchell talked about Swift and it is in a bad light.

Back in April 2012, Swift was reportedly in talks to portray the folk legend called "Girls Like Us" for its big screen adaptation. The book focused on the impact of Carole King, Carly Simon and Mitchell herself.

Although Swift was never officially casted for the said role, she released a statement about it saying, "The thing about movies that I've learned is-I've been reading scripts for five years, and you just don't know what ones are going to get greenlit and which ones aren't, so I can't talk about it unless it's the real thing."

Swift also talked about Mitchell for many times and the most recent was when Swift talked about her during her interview for the Rolling Stone magazine when she was featured. Swift said, "When I first started drinking...I used to cry about Joni Mitchell all the time after a few glasses of wine. All my friends would know, once I started crying about Joni Mitchell, it was time for me to go to bed."

However, it seems that Mitchell is not at all happy about Swift as the 71-year-old talked to "The Sunday Times" noting, "I squelched that. I said to the producer, 'All you've got is a girl with high cheekbones,'" in reference to Swift.

Mitchell also talked about how the material was written by Sheila Weller. She allegedly told the producer that what was written was all about gossip but the great scenes were not present. She added that there were a lot of assumptions and nonsense about her in the book.

Swift is yet to comment about the film that has been squelched by Mitchell. Swift has debuted as an actress back in 2010 in the film Valentine's Day but it was not a major role.
