In the midst of the Bill Cosby sex scandal in which he's been accused of molesting several women over the years, his "The Cosby Show" Lisa Bonet's Twitter saw some harsh words for the famous comedian - but was it really her writing these words?
According to Music Times, Lisa Bonet's Twitter comment came at the worst time for the man who became a household name playing Dr. Huxtable on television. Over the past weeks, the iconic comedian has been showered with accusations of rape, in what appears to have been an ongoing trend that went on for decades.
Things being that way, Lisa Bonet's Twitter seems to have published a cryptic message over the past weekend, seemingly one regarding her former co-star:
"According to the karma of past actions, one's destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky... Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!"
Of course, the Internet being what it is, Lisa Bonet's Twitter comment stirred a lot of controversy in social media, and the account was later deleted - but it seems the whole thing was a hoax, according to Time Magazine.
The actress that played the oldest daughter of the Huxtable family in "The Cosby Show" has said that the supposed Lisa Bonet Twitter account that posted the message regarding karma wasn't actually herself, but rather an impersonator that has now been reported as false to the social network.
In a statement released by the actress' manager, Jillian Neal, it was stated:
"Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind. Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story."
Her manager also repeated to website The Wrap that it could be assured that it hadn't been Lisa Bonet's Twitter that posted the cryptic remark regarding Bill Cosby's sex scandal.
