Another DC Comics adaptation will be launch by Warner Brothers, "Global Frequency" comics will have a live adaptation that will be shown in television.
Comics live action adaptation became a trend in movies and viewers are anticipating for the upcoming installment of each Comics movie adaptation. Now, television is following the trend and they are adapting more Marvel and DC comics' stories.
The newest live action adaptation is another DC Comics' riskier Vertigo imprint. Warner Bros. had just released a statement that they will adapt Warren Ellis's "Global Frequency".
DC Comics' "Global Frequency" is about a private funded crime fighting syndicate, which you may assume have agents across the globe. The show will be based on the 12-issue miniseries of the comics with the same name published by DC Comics' Wildstorm Productions.
Jerry Bruckheimer will lead the product of "Global Frequency" TV adaptation with four executive producers including Ellis. The creator of "Defiance" and "Farscape", Rockne S. O'Bannon will be the responsible on writing the pilot episode of the show.
Warner Bros is known for adapting stories from comics; shows like "The Flash", "Arrow", "Constantine" and "Gotham" are newest addition to their comics adaptation show.
Back in 2005, the "Survivor" producer, Mark Burnett produced a pilot episode based on "Global Frequency" but it was never aired. Although, the episode did leak online and it featured Josh Hopkins as Sean Flynn, Michelle Forbes as Miranda Zero, Aimee Garcia as Aleph and Jenni Baird as Dr. Katrina Finch.
Also, in 2009, Scott Nimerfro was hired by the CW Television Network to work on an adaptation of the same comics but sadly the plan was not pursue.
"Global Frequency" was published between October 2002 and June 2004 and each issue was drawn by different artist. Brian Wood made a uniform covers for each issue and David Baron colored the interior artwork.
