Last week on Grey's Anatomy, we saw the biggest reveal on Amelia's darkest secret of being an addict. At first she was only blindsided by the emergence of a patient who was apparently a recovering addict at the hospital. Then, the unexpected happened when Amelia's past was outed in front of everyone, leading to some raise brows on whether or not she's fit to perform a surgery. Owen called for an emergency meeting regarding this, but Derek came into Amelia's defense, saying that only the latter can do the job better than him. While this may be pretty impressive of Derek, Meredith wasn't in any way pleased with what he did. This Thursday, everyone is moving on but Derek and Meredith are going to be in a compromising position when a delicate surgery needs to be performed on a patient asap. In a recent interview, actress Caterina Scorsone, who plays Amelia, gushed about the connection between her character and Kevin McKidd's Owen. "She expects him to be hard on her about what went down, but he knows what it's like to live with demons," Scorsone said. "He is surprisingly sensitive to what she's been through and what she's going through. That takes her back a little bit." A lot of exciting things are about to happen in the winter finale this Thursday night, so don't dare miss it.
Also last week, Arizona was pitted against a hard decision when Dr. Herman went missing. A patient had to undergo an emergency fetal surgery, but Arizona wasn't ready to perform the procedure. When Dr. Herman still was MIA and with time running out, Arizona decided to do the surgery, only to successfully deliver the baby but not revive the mother. In the end she had to face the father of the child and tell him that she wasn't able to save both the mother and the baby. This week, Arizona was not the last one to face a very serious situation as Callie is now responsible for pushing one of her veteran patients too far in forcing her to walk. Furthermore, her patience and understanding are stretched to the maximum when one of her doctor's routine procedure go awry.
