Sexiest Man Alive Vote 2014 - This year, the "sexiest man alive" turned out to be Chris Hemsworth. But, apparently, that's not really the case.
It was announced on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that the "sexiest man alive" was Chris Hemsworth, on Nov. 18. There was even a Skype call in which the audience had to ask "yes" or "no" questions to a masked Chris Hemsworth.
After being asked if he had played a superhero in a movie, the rest pretty much unfolded quickly. Chris Hemsworth is best known for playing "Thor," so it wasn't very difficult for people to guess with that in mind.
Still, it looks like he was chosen because other actors refused to be given the title. According to Hollywood Life, Chris Hemsworth was very far from being People's first choice as the "sexiest man alive."
Instead, the actors that they had in mind were Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal and even Justin Timberlake. Chris Pratt was also mentioned due to his starring role in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the workout he went through, which is constantly mentioned in the media.
But it seems like all these actors "turned down" the title and it ended in Chris Hemsworth's hands; which makes sense as the actor hasn't been "news" this year. He's had the birth of twins along with his wife Elsa Pataky, but that's pretty much it.
And about his wife, he made a comment on being the "sexiest man alive" and using it in his favor.
"I can just say to [wife Elsa Pataky], 'Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don't need to do the dishes anymore, I don't need to change nappies. I'm above that. I've made it now," the actor joked and E!Online shared.
Whether Chris Hemsworth was the actual choice of People or not for the "sexiest man alive," he's certainly enjoying the title.
