The Charles Manson interview that revealed he was marrying a 26 year old woman is raising more questions than answers, and well so. Charles Manson, a convicted mass murderer has been in prison for over 25 years. He is now going to marry Afton Burton, a lady who was born about the same year he went to prison.
Charles Manson was convicted together with three others for the murders of actress Sharon Tate and four others on her estate in August 9, 1969. The now 80 year old was also convicted for the murder of grocers Leno and Rosemary LaBianca the night after.
Manson has recently caused headlines when it was revealed he was going to marry. The Charles Manson interview with Rolling Stone originally linked him to Afton Burton, who goes by the name Star. Charles is now set to join himself in matrimony with the young lady this coming month.
Manson's wedding will be conducted in a visitor's room at the California Departments of Correction's Corcoran State Prison facility. The marriage will be officiated by a member of the Californian Corrections department trained in matrimonial issues as well as an outside official of the two's choice. They will also be allowed six members to join them in the ceremony. However, there will be no cameras to take the wedding pictures.
The prison also does not allow much contact and the two will only be able to hug through the whole process. The prison also does not allow family visits, a euphemism for conjugal rights as Manson is serving a life sentence.
The Charles Manson interview with Rolling Stone reported that when he wasn't too optimistic about the marriage and that they were playing it out for the public to consume. However, for Star, who even moved to live in Corcoran, just outside Manson's prison and talks to him daily on phone, this is true love. Despite the conflicting perspectives from the Charles Manson interview and Star's take on things, the two are set to celebrate their marriage on the first Saturday of next month.
