Miss Honduras missing just a few days to the Miss World Beauty Pageant. Miss Honduras, Maria Jose Alvarado, 19, went missing last Thursday night after attending a friend's birthday party. Police have currently arrested and detained four people in connection with the disappearance.
Miss Honduras Missing was the title that hit the headlines of the Honduras dailies last weekend after the young beauty queen disappeared from the face of the country without a trace. Miss Honduras was last seen on Thursday night heading to a friend's birthday celebration with her sister, who has also gone missing. They were last seen in a spa in Santa Barbara, about 240 miles west of Teguciagalpa. They had gone to celebrate the birthday of Plutarco Ruiz, the boyfriend of Alvardo's sister.
Police revealed that they have arrested four persons in connection with the disappearance of the beauty queen. One of the persons detained for the disappearance is Plutarco Ruiz, boyfriend to Miss Honduras's sister and the owner of the party that night. The other person arrested is the owner of the venue where the whole party took place.
Speaking on interview with the Telegraph, Alvardo's mother appeared depressed and reached out to anyone with information as to the disappearance of her daughters to speak out. "Open your hearts and understand my pain," her mother pleaded Sunday night. "There is an all-powerful God that sees everything, and I hope you set them free."
Miss Honduras missing has managed to capture the interest of many persons across the world. The Miss World Beauty Pageant is set to kick off on Thursday and will culminate in the crowning of this year's Miss World on December 14. Miss Honduras was supposed to fly out for the pageant during the weekend.
