Blacklist Season 2 will see the introduction of a new group of super villains, who are more cunning and twice as devious as the ones before them, in episode 9. Last week, show fans saw the end for Alan Fitch and Berlin, who is the unidentified enemy of Red. With the emergence of new antagonists comes the struggle of Red to look for them and stop them from the madness that they are to do. Unfortunately, we won't be seeing Red and the rest of the cast tonight or the entire winter season through since the show is currently on hiatus.
According to Franchise Herald, Blacklist season 2 episode 9 is not airing tonight or in the coming weeks because it is on its winter hiatus. The show is expected to come back on the air come February 1st, following the Super Bowl. Yes. That's right. Blacklist will be airing on a Sunday. But not to worry since NBC has already revealed that after its returning episode, the series will come back to its weekday schedule. But instead of heading back to its Monday spot, the sophomore series is moving to Thursdays to give way to other shows for the Monday slot.

In the mid-season or winter finale of the show titled "The Decembrist," we saw a couple of unexpected twists in the storyline of the action-packed series. First is of course the big reveal that Fitch was the one responsible for the story that Red murdered Berlin's daughter. And he also put the blame of a bombing in Kursk, Russia on Red. Then, it was revealed that Fitch was actually the Decembrist. After a series of fast-paced action including the revelation of a mystery safe with the combination of 83044, Red shot Berlin while Fitch got killed by a bomb. Elsewhere, Tom helped Liz track down Berlin. Then, we saw a rather twisted scene when Red handed an envelope of cash to Tom while telling the latter that he shouldn't see Liz ever again. But Tom responds with, "For what it's worth, I was tied up for four months on that ship, and I never told her about us. Not one word." Catch the brand new episode when it returns in February. So what's ahead for Red and the other characters when the series returns? "It actually looks like Red does not have the Fulcrum, but he will set his sights on getting it. Unfortunately, so will another Blacklister. But in the process, Red will be forced to risk his life to protect Liz, who you may be surprised to hear might have a connection to the Fulcrum," Natalie Abrams of Entertainment Weekly wrote about the spoiler for the upcoming episode.
Interestingly, 'Sons of Anarchy' star Ron Perlman will also be joining the show when it returns as he has already signed to play the next mega criminal this season. Perlman's characer is named Luther bRaxton and he is described as a "meticulous thief who plans his international heists over the course of several months or years. The ruthless baddie creates great diversions and chaos to get what he wants - that is, until he faces off with Red Reddington (James Spader)."
