Bill Cosby Rape Scandal Continues: Dr. Huxtable Cancels Letterman, Gets Panned On Twitter And Victim Speaks Out

News of the alleged Bill Cosby rape have been shocking the world since comedian Hannibal Buress called out the star of "The Cosby Show" last month on the accusations - and now, the famous comedian has canceled a public appearance.

Ever since Hannibal Buress accused Bill Cosby of rape in late October (as reported by E! News), giving fuel to rumors that have gone on for years, all of which the comedian, one of the most famous faces in humor in the past decades, has denied.

There have been more than a few Bill Cosby rape accusations throughout the years, but, according to The Smoking Gun, none of them has ever resulted in criminal charges.

Ever since he first made it big on television as a comedian, Cosby has presented audiences with a wholesome image of himself. Contrary to many of his most popular colleagues, he always refused to use profanity in his stand-up material or anywhere else, for example, and his role as Dr. Cliff Huxtable in "The Cosby Show" showed him as a funny but understanding and caring family man.

Of course, as news come out of alleged victims stepping forward and talking about Bill Cosby's rape experiences, it's obvious that his public image has taken quite a bit of damage - enough to cancel an upcoming appearance at "The Late Show with David Letterman" this week, according to The New York Times.

Earlier last week, the famous comedian, though Twitter, had asked the Internet to make him into a meme - but, according to Us Weekly, the response was simply to remind the world all about Bill Cosby's rape accusations. The famous comedian then went on to delete the tweet.

Other news outlets such as The Washington Post have reported that Barbara Bowman, one of the women behind Bill Cosby's rape accusations, has stated that she's been telling her story for years and that nobody believed her - until just recently.
