Fans of classic films with a lot of money, beware: the "Godfather" house's out for sale now! The Staten Island home where Vito and Michael Corleone did their business and sent people to sleep with the fishes can be bought now by anyone with $1.8 million to spare!
The "Godfather" house now for sale is among the most iconic places in the history of movies, since it's the home of at least two of the biggest characters of 70s film: Don Vito Corleone (played by Marlon Brando) and Michael Corleone (Al Pacino). It's also the place where other great names of Mario Puzo's novel walked around, planning great things for the Corleone family.
According to The Daily Mail, the "Godfather" house for sale was used for exterior shots of the movie, in iconic scenes such as Connie's wedding, which opens the first film and introduces the characters and exactly what Don Vito Corleone does for a living.
Now, it seems like the "Godfather" house for sale has been rearranged to look even more like the one on the film - the newest owner decorated the interior of the mansion in a way reminiscent of the way it looks in the movie, in bits that were actually shot in sets, according to the New York Post.
Before putting the "Godfather" house for sale, the owner made sure everything in it looked just the same way as the Francis Ford Coppola classic.
The home was first made in 1930, it has 6,248 square feet (with eight bedrooms and three bathrooms) and its creation is in the English Tudor style. It's over half an acre and it's located at 110 Longfellow Avenue in Staten Island, specifically in the Todt Hill section - one of the fanciest locations in the borough.
The current owner, who's now putting the "Godfather" house for sale, bought it back in 2012 for a bit under $1.7 million, then doing his best to decorate it accordingly.
