Delta airlines loses dog that belonged to a man who was making a move from his home together with his family. Delta airlines, which was assisting to ferry the four legged family member, has since lost the dog and the passenger is left distraught over where his beloved dog could be.
Frank Romano was making a move from Los Angeles International Airport to Florida International Airport with his family and his dog on October 31. The family had just boarded the plane when they were informed that Ty, their 6 year old pit bull had gone missing.
"She took me to the side and said, 'Oh your dog went missing, he chewed through the kennel, but we found him, we just need you to identify him,'' said Romano in an interview, "And then two minutes later, she told me that he ran away an hour ago and they still can't find him."
Romano was so stressed up about Delta airlines loses dog incident that he began a frantic search for the dog at the airport but to no avail.
The airline later reported to Romano that they did not know where the dog was. The airline reimbursed Romano of the $200 he had used to ferry the dog. However, Romano insists that the sum can not replace his beloved Ty.
Delta continues to investigate what happened to the dog. Indications were that procedures were followed in the dog's transportation. However, the dog may have compromised his own kennel by chewing it open then escaping. According to Morgan Durrant, the Delta Airline spokesperson, the dog must have compromised the kennel on its own, leading to the Delta airlines loses dog story.
Romano, however, is not impressed by the rate of Delta's investigations and search. He affirms that he only wants his dog Ty back.
