Nicki Minaj Nazi Imagery: ‘Only’ Clip Accused Of Glorifying Hitler And Nazi Regime [VIDEO]

Following the success of "Anaconda," the singer has a new video for her single "Only," but it seems the Nicki Minaj Nazi imagery she chose for the new cartoon got her into a lot of trouble with the media.

According to the UK's Daily Mail, the Nicki Minaj Nazi imagery stunt she recently pulled for her newest video has gotten the singer a lot of bad press. The video, an animation that also features Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Drake, features the "Anaconda" singer as a dictator in a world not unlike the one presented in Nazi propaganda films of the 1930s.

The rapper's newest clip is evidently based on Leni Riefenstahl's films of propaganda from the 1930s, which included movies like "Triumph of the Will" and "Olympia," all of which greatly built up Adolf Hitler's media presence at the time, putting him as a sort of savior and man of progress in Germany. Now, Nicki Minaj's Nazi imagery use has received nothing but poor reviews.

As the Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald reports, the new lyric video of "Only" is only a teaser trailer of the upcoming one. However, in the one already released, Nicki Minaj's Nazi imagery becomes apparent, as she and clip director Jeff Osbourne use the same color scheme as the Nazi party: red, black and white.

The video also features images of military equipment often associated to the Nazi one, as well as buildings and monuments wrapped up in banners - plus, of course, a lot of goose-step, leading to the critics of Nicki Minaj's Nazi imagery use.

As The Washington Post reports, the Nicki Minaj Nazi imagery controversy has eclipsed other recent achievements of the famous rapper, like the fact that she recently won an MTV Europe Music Award and debuted a new song.

You can watch Nicki Minaj's Nazi imagery video below but, be warned, its content and use of language is quite strong and it may not be appropriate for everyone.
