'Toy Story 4' - One movie that nobody was expecting to make a return will definitely be in theaters! In 2017, which is not so soon, but everyone's favorite toys are coming back nonetheless.
It was announced in D23, which is the official Disney Fan Club! Also, CNN took the news and celebrated it, too. The truth is that for most fanatics, "Toy Story" had hit an end with the third release in 2010.
The movie that has Woody and Buzz Lightyear, together with the other toys as main characters, had a wonderful ending then. Andy, the toys' owner in all the three movies, donated them to Bonnie, a very lovable girl who played with toys non-stop.
It was an emotional ending that left all the fans satisfied. In it, all the toys ended together and it was understood that they would never face a day of not being played by a kid again. Instead, they would be loved dearly like they had been by Andy.
As a matter of fact, all of "Toy Story 3" was endearing and formed to mark the "end" of an era for the toys that were first known in 1995 with "Toy Story." But, it looks like the producers in Pixar won't let this be the end at all. "Toy Story 4" will mark it.
"We love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before," John Lasseter, the director set for "Toy Story 4," said.
Lasseter directed the first and second instalment of "Toy Story" and in the third one, Lee Unkrich did. Still, the remarkable about this story is that in all its movies, the writers have been the same four. Among them, Unkrich and Lasseter are included.
One change will be done in that area, though. As the new writers for "Toy Story 4," Rashida Jones and Will McCormack will be joining the team and Unkrick, for now at least, is not one of the writers.
The only detail that hasn't been announced yet is if the voices of the leading characters will be the same in "Toy Story 4." Up to now, Tom Hanks has been Woody, Tim Allen has been Buzz Lightyear and Joan Cusack has been Jessie, among others.
Yet, like Entertainment Weekly perfectly put it, "it's unconceivable that a movie would be made without them." So, for now, just cheer up because "Toy Story 4" will be done!
