Amanda Bynes 2014: Arrests, Mental Problems And Now Parental Conservatorship For Former Nickelodeon Star

Unfortunately, it seems that Amanda Bynes' 2014 is not set to be much better than other years before it: after a long strain of mental health issues, her parents have decided to surrender legal conservatorship of her daughter.

In the past few months, Amanda Bynes' 2014 problems have been all over the news. Her latest ventures have included a DUI arrest, a Twitter rant regarding a chip on her brain and finally being committed to a mental institution.

If there's one thing Amanda Bynes' 2014 has shown the world is that she's in serious need of some help, but it seems that her parents have thrown the towel and have decided that they don't have what it takes to properly care for their daughter.

According to a new report by TMZ that has recently been released, the parents of the "What I Like About You" actress will be filing legal documents in the next few days to transfer their conservatorship to someone else, an expert in mental health who will guide Amanda Bynes' 2014 troubles into a better resolution.

It has been reported that the decision comes after her mother, Lynn, realized that she and her husband Rick - whom Amanda accused of sexual abusing her when she was a little girl - weren't able to handle their daughter anymore.

Bynes' parents will not fully back out of conservatorship, but they'll actually be sharing it with the unnamed mental health specialist, according to Yahoo! News.

The family's lawyer, David Esquibias, told Access that he would be personally working with this person, who will be maintained with a special trust fund that will allow them to properly take care of Amanda's needs at the moment, hopefully until her health is fully recovered.

It's been reported that after transferring conservatorship of their daughter, her parents will be moving to Texas to be closer to their oldest child. Hopefully, this new development will mean that Amanda Bynes' 2014 is on her way towards improving.
