Suge Knigt Katt Williams arrested for allegedly robbing a paparazzo's camera last month. The two performers were arrested after in different locations and are facing trial that could lead to a prison sentence if they are found guilty.
The Suge Knight Katt Williams arrested incident has caused ripples all over the entertainment industry. The two stand accused of robbing a paparazzo of her camera on September 5. The incident remains under investigation by Beverly Hills, California police. The police department is yet to reveal the progress of their investigations.
Suge Knight founded Death Row records back in the 1990s. The recording label grew to be one of rap industry's biggest recording labels.
The arrest comes at a bad time for Suge Knight who already has an assault conviction for assault with a deadly weapon. He could face up to 30 years if convicted.
Katt Williams on the other hand could face up to 7 years jail time if convicted. It is the stand up comedian's tenth arrest since 2006. He was also arrested 2012 for reckless driving after he hit 5 pedestrians with a three wheeled motorcycle in a police chase at a Sacramento sidewalk.
Suge Knight was arrested in Las Vegas without an incident. Katt was arrested as he attended a separate arraignment in a Los Angeles courthouse for an assault case. Williams, 43, has starred in several comedy specials and has appeared on many films such as First Sunday and Friday After Next.
Just a week and a half before, Suge Knight was shot at and wounded in a West Hollywood, California nightclub. Earlier this year, Knight was also shot at six times at a preparty for the MTV video music awards. He, however, recovered from both incidents and was back on his feet.
The two stars' lawyers are yet to issue a statement on the Suge Knight Katt Williams arrest.
