First Cat Café In America: In Oakland, Have A Cup Of Coffee And Play With A Cat For One Hour!

Cat lovers in the United States, the day has come: the fist cat café in America has now opened its doors! In this fun new concept, people can relax not only having a cup of their favorite drink, but also playing around with a feline that is up for adoption - the first cat café in America is also an adoption center for cats to bond with possible new owners.

The first cat café in America has now opened in Oakland, California, and it takes cat lovers to the place they feel most comfortable with: wherever they can be surrounded by fluffy pets saying "meow"!

The first cat café in America might be the first in the country, but they're published in other country's urban areas, according to the NBC. However, the new Oakland place is the first ever to receive the necessary approvals from the United States government to go through the somewhat exotic venture.

The first cat café in America is called Cat Town Café, and it will feature an area for felines to run freely around. As Time Magazine explains, the café's areas are very well defined: the cat area and the café area are well separated, and employers from each of them even have their own separate bathrooms, as to not contaminate the food with cat's hairs and the like.

The people behind Cat Town Café, Adam "Catman" Myatt and Ann Dunn, founded the café after seeing the bad conditions felines were living in at local animal services. By then, they decided to step up and launched a - successful - Kickstarter campaign last year to raise money to open up the new venue.

The first cat café in America opened its doors in Oakland, California, just last Saturday - and the very first day, it saw its first adoptions.
