Paul Kitterman has been found safe after he had gone missing since Thursday last week. The 53-year-old Broncos fan from Colorado has been found Tuesday, 110 miles from Denver Sports Authority Stadium, where he was last seen.
Kitterman vanished from the stadium shortly after halftime during Broncos- Chargers game. He was with his stepson Jarod Tonneson, and friend Tia Bakke. According to the Colorado police, Kitterman left the game and went on a five-day walk in Pueblo Colorado.
Paul Kitterman was found at the K-Mart parking lot in Pueblo, South of Denver. Authorities revealed that he was looking tired, but coherent and suggest there is no report of foul play with the incident. However, there is still no understandable reason why Kitterman disappeared.
Kitterman told to Pueblo authorities that he slept in trees and bushes while he was away. He also mentioned that he removed his Broncos cap so that no one will recognize him. Police revealed that during their interview with Kitterman, he was answering questions comprehensibly.
When Paul Kitterman was found, he just said that he "had his fill of football, and that he wanted to travel to someplace warm" Colorado police said Wednesday. According to ABC News, the 53-year-old construction worker had walked south and had hitchhiked.
Tia Bakke and his stepson Tonneson released a statement to ABC News thanking people who helped find Paul Kitterman. They also claimed that all they know right now is that he had some kind of breakdown and the real reason why he had gone missing is still unclear.
Paul Kitterman was found by Denver Police Department near a Pueblo furniture store along the I-25 service road, near West 31st Street. A concerned civilian had recognized him and reported his location to the police. Kitterman is unmarried, a ranch hand and a construction worker. During his five-day-journey, he doesn't have a cell phone or credit card with him, but only about $50 cash, Bakke shared.
