OJ Simpson 2014: Will Nevada Supreme Court Allow OJ To Walk Free Once Again?

OJ Simpson's 2014 sees the infamous former American football star in prison, after having been found guilty of multiple charges back in 2008, after a robbery in Las Vegas. OJ Simpson's 2014 appeal has now reached the Nevada Supreme Court, as Simpson's lawyers are pushing the high court to go through a new trial.

OJ Simpson's 2014 sees him in prison, as he has been since he was found guilty of all charges after a robbery in Las Vegas.

OJ Simpson's 2014 appeal has the star's lawyers filing in the high state court for a reversal of a 2008 decision that said that he couldn't get a re-trial; the lawyers state that the judge was wrong to deny the former star a new trial.

The incident that saw the star reach prison happened back in October 2007, and it ultimately meant that the former football star faced ten different charges: conspiracy to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon, first degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Ultimately, Simpson was found guilty of every single one of them.

According to CBS News, Simpson argues that back when the case first appeared in Nevada courts, his then-lawyer Yale Galanter botched the defense due to a conflict of interests. However, Galanter has denied any such conflict, and a lower court already denied the former star with the possibility for a re-trial, saying it was unnecessary.

OJ Simpson's 2014 sees the star in prison since 2008 - and, as per the sentence released at the time, he won't be able to apply for bail for another three years, in 2017, approximately nine years to the day he was first imprisoned, as reported by Fox News.
