A jogger bumps into David Cameron stirring huge security alert Monday.
Prime Minister Cameron was leaving Leeds Civic Hall when a man ran towards him accidentally bumping him. The man cut a direct path between the security guards and Cameron. The Prime Minister stepped back and quickly the security team manhandled the dreadlocked jogger to the ground.
The jogger, Dean Balboa Farley, 28, hospital worker from Leeds said he had "no idea" why the security officers jumped on him. He questioned the Prime Minister's security arrangements. "It begs the question how good is security if I managed to run between them before they stopped me," said Farley.
Farley explained that he had just "run between them" as he was heading to meet his personal trainer at the gym for a lunchtime appointment.
Police arrested Farley after the incident but Police said he was released shortly after finding out that it was entirely an accident. The man said he did not know it was the Prime Minister he bumped into until he was arrested and released by police officer.
Initial reports suggested that the jogger could have been a protester who attacked the Prime Minister. West Yorkshire Police confirmed "nothing sinister" had taken place and Farley was released.
The West Yorkshire Police stated in a tweet: "To clarify re arrest in #Leeds as man came close to PM's group: Nothing sinister, just a man in the wrong place at the wrong time..."
Farley told BBC "Look North" that it was a "harrowing" experience. "I'm quite shook up. I was almost in shock, like I'd been in an accident or something," he said. Still thinking positive, Farley said that he will look back eventually at that moment and "see the funny side".
Questions are now raised as to how the jogger bumps Cameron running between the Prime Minster and the security guards without being stopped first by his security entourage.
