Here are three creative and spooky Halloween decorations that will ensure you make the most of your pumpkins and scare the kids away in an easy and cheap way.

1.       Simple Boo scare tactic

You will need a knife, four pumpkins, a melon baller (a power drill could also do the trick), votive candles or tea lights and petroleum jelly.

 Directions:

Open the pumpkins and remove all the seeds from inside. Sketch the letters B-O-O-! on the pumpkins. Use a melon baller or a drill bit to carve out the circles from the pumpkin skin spelling out each letter. Have one letter for each pumpkin. Make sure the letters are large enough to be seen from a far. Brush the cur edges from the pumpkin with petroleum jelly to preventythem from drying out. Line the pumpkins on your porch or on your doorstep as part of your super scary Halloween decorations!

2.       The Stack Family

Halloween decorations can be as easy as setting up snow men, this time, with pumpkins.

You will need: pumpkins in graduated sizes, small, medium and large, wooden chopsticks, and children size Halloween costumes or old clothes.

Directions:

Build and stabilize each pumpkin stack by pushing three chop sticks into each pumpkin and attach them to the pumpkin below. Dress the pumpkins in old Halloween costumes. Make sure the clothes are as old and scary as possible.

Enjoy making these super Halloween decorations from your pumpkin food with you kids this Halloween.
