Elisabeth Hasselbeck's husband, former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, is always around when she needs him: the TV personality and the athlete have been together for a long time, since they both met in college. Now, according to reports in several news outlets, Elisabeth Hasselbeck's husband faces one of life's toughest ordeals: seeing his wife battle life-altering cancer.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck's husband has stood by his wife through high and lows - like when last year her contract with "The View" wasn't renewed, which according to HollywoodLife happened because her views were too conservative and were drawing audiences away from the show, as she publicly supported figures such as far right wing vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Since her departure from The View, the hostess has gone back to television on the Fox News show "Fox & Friends," where she's often talked about Elisabeth Hasselbeck's husband.
However, it was recently announced that the hostess would take a few weeks off the show to recover from an undisclosed surgery that was performed on her last Tuesday.
This has given foot to rumors of breast cancer, according to Inquisitr. If that were the case, the hostess, Elisabeth Hasselbeck's husband and the couple's three children would be entering a tough few months.
The "Fox & Friends" hostess has asked the media to give her privacy during this time, even to the point that she hasn't publicly specified what kind of surgery it is she is recovering from - just as easily, it could be something like a tracheotomy.
"Elisabeth has asked for all to respect her wishes for privacy in regards to further details at this time," a Fox News representative told The Wrap.
Meanwhile, her co-host Brian Kilmeade said about Hasselbeck. "We heard from her last night and she said she is feeling good. So, in a short time, she'll be back on the set."
