Chili's is putting a twist on the Espresso Martini scene by swapping vodka for tequila. With Vanderpumpers Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney on board, it's energizing the cocktail revolution.
Shots Fired in the Espresso Martini War
The Espresso Martini awakening is upon us, and Chili's Grill & Bar is leading the caffeinated cocktail revolution. The casual dining chain is shaking things up by unleashing its own boozy spin on the trendy beverage made with reposado tequila instead of vodka! Whaaaaaat? OK, settle down; it's not that crazy. Tequila doesn't just have to be about limes, folks. Reposado's toasty, slightly spicy notes are a perfect home for a dense shot of good espresso.
Vanderpumpers On-Board
To help pull off this bold bevy, Chili's enlisted the talents of reality TV's preeminent mixology queens - Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney from the smash hit show Vanderpump Rules. Scheana, a former Chili's waitress, knows the chain's DNA like the back of her well-manicured hand. Katie brought the tequila expertise. Together, they crafted an Espresso Martini so irresistible that even haters will be converted...as long as Tom Sandoval isn't involved. Nobody likes that dude.
Coming to a Chili's Near You
"The Chili's Espresso Martini has the perfect mix of flavors, tequila, and garnish," raves Katie. "Fans will love sipping it with chips and salsa or our famous Chicken Crispers." We're thinking it would actually be a better fit with their Molten Chocolate Cake but hey, to each their own. The caffeinated concoction will be available at Chili's nationwide starting this week. Give it a shot. We're sure it will change the way you think of martinis.
