Hormel Foods is seeking nominations for the 2024 class of 10 Under 20 Food Heroes, a program celebrating young movers and shakers driving positive change in the food system. Here's how to enter.

Calling All Food Champs

Hormel Foods, the food company behind beloved brands like Dinty Moore and Justin's, is accepting nominations for their 2024 class of 10 Under 20 Food Heroes. This impact-driven program, now in its third year, recognizes the efforts of young food industry trailblazers from across the United States whose altruistic efforts are driving the world toward a more transparent, secure, and sustainable food system.

A Platform for Youth-Driven Innovation

The company is seeking candidates under 20 years of age who reside in the United States and are driven, passionate, and determined to make a lasting impact on bettering food production. Each 10 Under 20 Food Hero will receive support and resources from Hormel Foods and its partners, including mentorship, internships, executive networking sessions, and hands-on experiences to foster their growth as future leaders. The 2024 award recipients will be invited to the company's global headquarters in Austin, Minnesota, for a ceremony this summer to receive a financial donation to further their efforts toward better eating for all.

Is there a budding organic farmer in your hood? Maybe a youngin' finding new ways to get fresh produce to underserved areas? Or maybe a young person who promoted repurposing food scraps into compost. Go get 'em nominated! You may be helping discover the next food entrepreneur who makes meals a better deal for us and the world.
