Grammy-award winner and self-proclaimed burger connoisseur Cardi B showed up on TikTok this week with social media food critic Keith Lee to give her no-holds-barred opinion of Lee's favorite Los Angeles burger joint, Easy Street Burgers. Having previously expressed her disappointment with LA food, Cardi dives into two of Lee's favorites with high expectations but tells Lee, "I'm like a real big burger expert, so if I don't like it, I'm going to tell you in your face."
Jalapeño Monster Perfection
Cardi compares Easy Street's Jalapeño Monster burger to a "fancier Shake Shack," even going so far as to say that it tastes healthier and that she likes the sauce because she's "a sauce person." In the beginning, Cardi matches Lee's 9 out of 10 rating, noting that it tastes like a classic NYC chopped cheese. But Cardi goes back to the burger again and again, even calling it perfection and saying, "They made it with love."
Bacon Love or Hate?
While the Jalapeño Monster wins Cardi's overall approval, Easy Street's Bacon Grill Onion Burger falls short for the star. While Lee gives the burger a 10, Cardi gives it a 7 out of 10, noting that the bacon overpowers the other flavors. With Cardi's more than 25 million followers on TikTok, this seems like a huge win for Easy Street Burgers that is sure to boost the brand's notoriety in addition to already benefiting from the "The Keith Lee Effect" in October. Will this be the start of an ongoing collaboration between Cardi and Lee? We'll have to stay tuned to find out.
