Retailers including Cardenas Market, Northgate Gonzalez, Food City, La Michoacana, Numero Uno Markets, Superior Grocers, Whole Foods Market, El Super, El Rancho, and Vallarta stores have been affected by the recall nationwide.
Dairy Recall Sparked by Nationwide Listeria Outbreak
According to the Center for Disease Control, listeria outbreaks affected 11 states, hospitalizing 26 people and resulting in two deaths. Listeria symptoms include fever, aches, fatigue, and in severe instances neck stiffness, confusion, loss of balance, and seizures. Seniors, pregnant women, and people with compromised immune symptoms are especially at risk when it comes to Listeria.
