On Wednesday, Nov. 29, Subway announced that their restaurants intend to incorporate a footlong cookie into their menu choices in 2024. Thus, on Monday, Dec. 4, the company will conduct a limited giveaway in four cities in honor of National Cookie Day to test the product. You may get a free footlong cookie with any order of a footlong sub at any Subway shop in the following stores:

  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Miami
  • New York City

The promo lasts between 1 and 6 p.m. local time. This offer is only valid for a limited time and is available while supplies last.

On the other hand, if you are not in a city offering free footlong cookies on Dec. 4, you are fortunate enough to have access to other free food options. For the remainder of the year, Wendy's will give away free chicken nuggets in the form of six pieces to consumers who purchase. On Wednesdays, the offer is valid for orders placed through the Wendy's app or online and is also available for delivery.

Moreover, free fries are being offered to McDonald's customers on Fridays till the end of the year. If you are a fan of the fast food restaurant and have enrolled in its rewards program, you may redeem the offer by going to the chain's mobile application. Customers only need to purchase one dollar to take advantage of the weekly discount. According to the app, this prize is good for one time every Friday until Dec. 31, providing customers plenty of time to celebrate the promotion of free fries on Fridays.

Subway's Initiative to Help People In Need

Footlong cookies from Subway were initially available for a limited time on National Cookie Day 2022. Subway's culinary team spent the previous year refining a footlong version of its most popular cookie for national distribution, as all of the company's inventory at its Cookieway pop-up in Miami was depleted in less than two hours.

In a statement, Paul Fabre, senior vice president of cuisine and innovation at Subway, indicated that the massive response they received from fans all around the country the previous year informed them that they wanted to make the footlong cookie a permanent addition to their menu. An early glimpse of an even better footlong cookie will be available to the guests at Cookieway this year. It will reportedly be thick and gooey, packed with chocolate chips, and given warm straight out of the oven. With your preferred footlong sub, it's the ideal complement, and once you take one mouthful, it might even win your heart.

Accordingly, until Dec. 31, Subway will also contribute to the Subway Cares Foundation by giving a portion of the profits from the sale of each cookie. The foundation is responsible for several different programs, one of which is the Fresh Start Scholarships program, which provides financial aid for college education to Subway employees employed in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, and Puerto Rico.
