Esquire has picked their 'Sexiest Woman Alive' for 2014 and it's Penelope Cruz. Penelope has been out of the Hollywood scene but the 40-year old award-winning actress and a mother of two proved that age is just a number.
Penelope is the 10th celebrity to receive the title by the magazine. In the past years Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Rihanna, Halle Berry, and Scarlett Johansson also graced the prestigious title. In Esquire's November issue the Academy award-winning actress was seen posing for a daring front cover photo.
'The Pirates of the Caribbean' star remained humble even everyone knew how deserving she is to get the title. Penelope shared that she doesn't feel being the sexiest woman alive, but she feels more of a mother who doesn't get enough sleep.
Penelope kept her silence when asked about her husband Javier Bardem and their life of having two young children. She preferred not to talk about it as she stated that it's their personal life.
Chris Jones, Writer, described the 'Vanilla Sky' star as 'impossibly beautiful.' As most of the stars love the lights and sounds of Hollywood, Penelope has retained her sexiness through her mystery. Working in the industry for 20 years, the sexy actress has maintained that mysterious side on her.
"I've played a lot of tricks on myself," the Spanish actress told in the magazine's cover story. "I've made it hard for me sometimes, especially in my teens and 20s. I had an attraction to drama. Most of us have that, especially if you are an artist - you feel like you are tempted to explore the darkness. I could not be less interested now. For me, the most attractive, charming, cool, fun, interesting thing - how could I call it? A plan."
The Esquire's November issue will be available on newsstands Oct. 21. Penelope will next be seen in the upcoming Spanish-language film 'Ma Ma' and in 'Grimsby' with Sacha Baron Cohen.
