Crunchkins Birthday Cake Is America's Next Favorite Candy

"They're here." Crunchkins posted a short teaser in its official Facebook page to make the announcement - implying that it's time to pop some desserts!

Confectionary brand, Bazooka, recently released its newest sweet treat that is said to give a 'fun and explosive eating experience.' Crunchkins - the dessert flavored poppers in bite size are spreading the sweetness in stores.

Crunchkins' fun and animated promotional campaign imply a space adventure with the candy flavor variants. The poppable desserts in bite size have a creamy coating and crunchy inside. The three flavors of Crunchkins include Fudge Brownie, Birthday Cake, and Glazed Donut. Each 3-ounce package has the three of them in crunchy and creamy texture - the combo that is quite unlike any other.

Selling the candies from $1.38 to $1.50 on average, Crunchkins are a fun change of pace for the confectionary category, according to Bazooka Candy Brands Marketing and Innovation Director, Nicole Rivera. She told PR Newswire that the delectables are inspired by no other than America's favorite desserts.  

The marketing campaign of these poppers includes a TV ad with space-theme, "Discover the Crunchkins!" The 9-second video is composed out of the images of the three desserts flavors with a space backdrop. It has also been featured in Crunchkins official Instagram. Rivera expects the integrated marketing plan is to grow the brand's business this year.

As for the decision to use sharing packs, the company admitted having been watching the trends in checkouts where candies are replaced by snacks and non-confectionary products. 7-Eleven and Walmart will welcome Crunchkins in mid-March whilst wider distribution will come around June 2016.
