So what can show fans and avid viewers expect from tonight's show? Well, AHS producers have prepared something spectacular. And by spectacular we mean Jessica Lange's Elsa Mars singing to a not-so-creepy but highly entertaining tune. Co-creator Ryan Murphy teased that instead of expecting a "Glee" kind of performance, everyone should watch out for something that is very comparable to "Moulin Rouge." Lange's character is reportedly not that vile like her previous ones, but she is still the "manipulative" type. "The thing I want to be very clear in this is that my character Elsa really loves these people," the actress said of Elsa Mars recently. "She truly cares for them, in her own selfish, narcissistic way. But they mean a great deal to her. It's not just exploitative. She's tough, and she's mean sometimes, and all of that, but she really does love them." Another transformation everyone should watch out for is Sarah Paulson's role as two-headed freak Bette and Dot Tattler. Paulson gushed to Entertainment Weekly that despite sharing one body, the twins are very different. "Even though they share a body, they have different brains and different hearts," she said. "They experience everything differently from each one another." While Bette is described as dark and depressed type, Dot is seen as an "innocent" yet cynical head. The official synopsis of American Horror Story season 4 episode 1 reads: "One of the only surviving sideshows in the country struggles to stay in business during the dawning era of television. This season, AHS welcomes back for the last time its lead star Jessica Lange, who is departing from the show after the finale. Other AHS alums that are also returning for the show's fourth run are: Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Francis Conroy, Denis O'Hare, Gabourey Sidibe, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts and Angela Bassett.
