Everybody wants to lose weight. Everybody wants a perfect body, perfect shape that makes head turn. But to achieve that, you have to do your part and not just sit there.
Dieting is not a mind over matter thing. It requires more work on your part.
So, Here are Your Four Unconventional Ways of Dieting:
1. Determine the Problem.
Do you have eating disorders? Are you simply lazy to exercise? Maybe, you're not an outdoor person?
Once you've determined the "real problem," you can already start your strategy of dieting.
2. What are the Kind of Food That You Eat?
Do you love food rich in carbs or you're the "grass" person? There are nutritious superfoods that you can choose from but you have to be honest to yourself if you can eat them heartily. The so-called superfoods are nutritional powerhouses that help build bones, prevent chronic diseases, improve your eyesight, and even keep your mind sharp. These food also makes you stay fit and slim.
3. What Activities Do You Prefer?
Do you love the sedentary lifestyle? Don't you love the sun? If not, you can always have a stationary bike or indoor gym and exercise equipment. That's not a problem. You should use them though and not make them end up as display or decoration in your home.
4. Do You Trust Yourself Enough?
There is no one who can trust yourself but you. It's a process and you have to undergo it step by step. Well, there is no easy way. But you want to stay fit, you'll have to trust yourself that you can do it.
According to Linda Bacon, PhD, associate nutritionist at the University of California, Davis, professor at the City College of San Francisco and author of the books Body Respect and Health at Every Size, "It's your body's job to keep your blood sugar and fat stores within a healthy range, and restricting calories prompts an increased appetite to restore balance. The body is very effective at managing your weight, if you let it do its job, by heeding its cues and not overfeeding or underfeeding it. Health at Every Size' starts from a place of respect for our bodies, which is very different from a diet-based approach which is focused on your body being wrong."
