Oscar night wasn't the only thing that the media buzzed about. Award-winning British singer, Sam Smith, made a huge transformation of his look.
The 24-year-old rising star told reporters on the Oscar red carpet, saying he had stopped eating like a horse. Smith lost, at least, 50 lbs on low carb diet and workout regime. He mentioned Amelia Freer, author of Eat. Nourish. Glow for being the woman behind his transformation. The gluten-free advocate is said to assist Smith in losing weight. He even credits her deed on his Instagram, saying how Freer completely transformed his relationship with food and encouraging his fans to read her book.
Freer worships organic products like nuts, eggs, seeds and vegetables. As a therapist, she told Telegraph that certain foods have health benefits but what is needed is to change the way with 'see' foods.
In his acceptance speech upon receiving the Academy Award's Best Original Song for Writings on The Wall, Smith addressed LGBT issue, stating that he loves the community dearly. Since the beginning of his career, Smith has opened up about his sexual orientation as an openly gay.
His acceptance speech makes a big controversy after vaguely misquoting Sir Ian McKellen's article.
"I read an article a few months ago by Sir Ian McKellen, and he said that no openly gay man had ever won an Oscar, and if this is the case - even if it isn't the case - I wanna dedicate this to the LGBT community all around the world." However, the fact that McKellen refers to Best Actor and many gay men won Oscars - have made his speech demonstrably false. Dustin Lance Black and Elton John were among Oscar winners who openly admit they are gay. Smith made an apology to Black after the writer tweeted a coded message to him.
