Coffee on the Go: Introducing GO CUBES, The Coffee in Gummy Form

Who says a coffee should be in a cup? Nootrobox, a company specializing in cognitive enhancing food supplements called nootropics, recently launched the latest addition to their expanding line - the coffee-flavored gummy bites called Go Cubes.

According to the company's website, Go Cubes is scientifically engineered for performance, a reinvention of coffee so to speak. If you are into precise measurements, then GO CUBES is for you - 1 GO CUBES delivers a precisely measured 50 mg of caffeine and six grams of sugar, an accuracy feat you couldn't exactly get from your regular barista.

According to Michael Brandt, co-founder of Nootrobox, GO CUBES aims to introduce the idea that "your smartness is something to be optimized." Brandt explains that since most people drink coffee to enhance work abilities, GO CUBES offers that option of a modulated coffee performance due to its precisely measured caffeine content  according to Nitasha Tiku's article in BuzzFeed.

This performance-targeted coffee consumption explains the presence of nootropic elements in GO CUBES as well. The FAQ section of GO CUBES site explains that a serving (2 GO CUBES) contains 100mg caffeine, 200mg L-theanine, 250mg Glucuronolactone, 250mg Inositol, 20mg Vitamin B6 and 60mcg Vitamin B12. Actually, L-theanine and caffeine are seen as a perfect pairing because the combination somehow minimizes jitters according to a study.

The chewable coffee gummy bites GO CUBES joins other Nootrobox products such as the Rise, Sprint, and Yawn  - with the first two helping you jumpstart your mornings while the third should be handy at bedtime. Nootropics are substances that can make you improve your memory, motivation and attention. Nootrobox products should be safe as it only uses ingredients classified by the FDA as generally safe according to Tiku's article.

So how does the new chewy coffee go in the taste department? According to Tiku, "it tasted sweetly dank, like the first sip of a cold brew coffee." Other coffee lovers might also love the idea of their coffee being handy which makes the GO CUBES, as their site puts it, "a coffee for astronauts."
