The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice has been shocked after learning her 15-month prison sentence beginning Jan.5. Teresa has spoken out since she and her husband, Joe pleaded guilty for multiple mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, and bankruptcy fraud charges.
The 42-year old reality show actress and her husband appeared on a special episode of Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live," where she revealed her reaction when she went to the final verdict about her case in Newark, New Jersey last week. Sitting beside her is her husband who will serve a period of 41-month sentence. "My nerves were pulling. At one point I couldn't even move my fingers, they were like stuck. I couldn't open my hands. My nerves were shot. I've had sleepless nights. I mean, I was shocked. I mean, it was very unexpected. I don't even know what to say. I really don't know what to say," Teresa admitted to Cohen.
Teresa, who has four daughters with Joe, Gia, 13, Gabriella, 9, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5 will not serve her prison term at the same time as her husband in order to take care of their children. Her sentence verdict also states $414,588 restitution payments and 2-year probation. When Cohen asked Teresa and Joe about their 'greatest fear' in entering into the prison, Teresa said that she just wished that her daughters will be okay and Joe will be on their side while she's serving her sentence.
A very touching moment surrounded the studio when Cohen asked her how her 13-year old Gia reacted on their situation. Teresa fought back tears saying that her daughter told her not to worry, and that she'll be there to help their daddy in taking care of the other girls. While they are serving their verdict, Gia's guidance counselor will be the one supervising on her studies and will be bringing her to a gym class once in a week.
"What Happens Live" interview of Teresa and Joe is slated to be aired on Oct. 6, Monday, at 9 p.m. with a second part on Oct. 9 on Bravo.
