Turmeric: This Powerful Spice can do a lot of wonders for your skin

A recent study was conducted by Dr. Adam Friedman, Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Director of Dermatologic research and a team at Montefiore-Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York to search the use of curcumin nanoparticles for the healing of infected burn wounds. The study was published at Nanomedicine Journal stating that curcumin, a key ingredient in ginger has the ability to enhance wound healing for cutaneous injuries and infected burn wounds.

Turmeric delivers a lot of good effects for your skin. It is the same ingredient that makes the curries and American mustard bright yellow in color. With its anti-inflammatory attributes, it lessens blemishes, pigmentations and skin inflammation.  It is also an effective anti-microbial component that fights acne and pimples. It is best used with other natural ingredients including honey and lemon as it makes the skin clearer and smoother.  Turmeric is also known for its anti-ageing properties that aids in preventing wrinkles and dry skin, thus promoting a younger looking skin.

Turmeric is also cheaper and accessible that any other expensive beauty products. Since the skin is the outermost part of the body, utmost care is essential to prevent damages including early signs of ageing, freckles, spots, blemishes, and acne. Poor nutrition, no exercise, lack of sleep and water could even harm your skin more.  Cosmetic products could be helpful, but trying natural treatments could also do a lot of wonders for your skin.
