Oreo lovers rejoice! Another flavor has landed and it tastes as good as it sounds. Say hello to the Cinnamon Bun Oreo cookies, which could have been inspired from the delicious Cinnabon brand of cinnamon rolls.
While the aroma won't be as deliciously tempting as walking through an actual Cinnabon branch, Oreo hopes to create that same temptation when you open a bag of Cinnamon Bun cookies. Both the cookie and its crème filling are infused with the cinnamon flavor.
"We are dreaming up new flavors one-by-one," stated the advertisement video. "Welcome to a world of cinnamon buns."
Though the Cinnamon Bun cookies had hit store shelves officially last Nov., those who have only heard of it now can get their hands on a bag for only $4.49 per 12.2 ounce package. The Cinnamon Bun isn't the only Oreo flavor worth trying out.
Nabisco announced that there would be more flavors to watch out for this 2016. In an exclusive report by Buzzfeed, Oreo is set to re-release the Red Velvet Oreo cookies. The great news about this release is that it could become a permanent flavor, so customers need not to stock up on this flavor.
Other than Red Velvet Oreo cookies, a few more flavors set for release include S'mores Oreos and Birthday Cake Oreos. This release is said to be part of the Oreo Wonder Vault. Apart from their new flavors, Oreo has upped their advertisement and sales up a notch by collaborating with "American Idol's" Adam Lambert. The campaign "Open Up with Oreo" certainly attracted Lambert.
"The mission statement really spoke to me," says Lambert. "They're encouraging people to look at our similarities as opposed to our differences and that is in line with my philosophy."
Lambert is one out of a few artists who have joined Oreo's campaign.
