The wait is finally over! Calling all foodies; you can now enjoy the crispy, delicious sandwich coming to your local shack. Last May, Shake Shack unveiled a new sandwich named Chick'n Shack, which enthralled the chicken lovers throughout the country.
However, the joy was short lived as the crispy slab of boneless chicken with shredded cabbage leaves, buttermilk and pickles will only be available in three Brooklyn Shake Shack outlets, disappointing those who were excited about the announcement.
Notably, the Chick'n Shack was sold out the first time it was launched in the Brooklyn's outlets which was a first time for the Shake Shack burgers. The reason behind the massively popularity of the Chick'n Shack has been attributed to two factors.
The first being the fact that it was sold exclusively in three Brooklyn outlets, while the second being the unique recipe of the burger.
The shack is first coated with peppery batter, then deep-fried and followed by slow cooking in buttermilk. Additionally, the garnishing of the cabbage and mayo herb with tangy pickles makes it a delicious dish to try out.
"We always composted the bottom quarter of the green leaf lettuce," says Mark Rosati, Shake Shack's culinary director. "But the buttermilk dressing on the ChickenShack pretty much demanded lettuce. The bottom of the green leaf lettuce is especially crisp, so we shredded it and it works."
Thus, the news that the Chick'n shack will be available on all outlets of Shake Shack (except JFK Airport, NYC's Theater District and sports stadiums), is indeed an exciting news for all food enthusiasts.
"Since we introduced the Chick'n Shack in Brooklyn, guests have been asking us to bring it to all Shacks, and we couldn't be more excited to finally do so," said culinary director Mark Rosati on the Shack's blog.
